NEPAD Kenya Holds Brainstorming Session with Civil Society groups, on how best to incorporate the Civil Society in the APRM process.
16-20th March 2008
NEPAD Kenya holds the All Africa journalism training workshop in Arusha Tanzania. The workshop drew participants from the Eastern Africa region, and aimed at training journalists on reporting governance issues in Africa.
28-29th April 2008
NEPAD Kenya hosts Eastern Africa Experts Group workshop in Mombasa. The workshop which brought together regional institutions from eastern Africa, aimed at discussing modalities for setting up a NEPAD coordinating office for the region of East Africa.
17-28th May 2008
NEPAD Kenya conducts focused group discussion in 28 districts around the country. This was done in preparation of the APRM progress report for the period June 2006 – June 2008.

NEPAD Kenya holds Children’s Peace Reading Tent in Eldoret, with the aim of getting the views of the children aged 8 to 18, on governance issues.

NEPAD Kenya hold consultative forums at the KICC with civil society groups, private sector, youth, women and marginalized groups.
YALDA Conference 2008
The NEPAD Kenya Secretariat took part in the 2nd Bi-annual Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA). The Conference themed, Overcoming Obstacles on the Continent and Beyond," scheduled took place on the 25th - 28th September, 2008 at Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. The conference—which brought together over 200 youth and prominent professionals both from Africa—focused on motivating and re-energizing young people to partake in developing Africa.[Read more..]

The first Extraordinary Meeting for the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the African peer review Mechanism
The First Extraordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) held its first sitting on the 25-26th October 2008 in Cotonou, Benin. The main focus of the meeting was: the continuation of the peer review of Nigeria, the peer review of Burkina Faso and consideration of a selection of cross-cutting issues which included: Land, Elections in Africa, Corruption, Managing Diversity and Rwanda’s Gacaca Court system.[Read More...]

NEPAD Kenya Secretariat will be holding a sensitization retreat for the newly established APRM National Governing Council at the Nyali Beach Hotel at Mombasa.
November 30th - December 4th 2009
THE 1ST CAADP AFRICAN FORUM 2009 will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 30th - 4th December 2009. It is being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture Kenya, the NEPAD Continental Secretariat, The Kenya African Forum Country Team, GTZ and other key strategic partners. The conference will bring together 150-200 practitioners in Country CAADP activities and other agricultural sector players under the theme ' The bottom of the pyramid: Agricultural Development for the vulnerable’. NEPAD-CAADP is the African institution taking up the organization of the upcoming CAADP African Forum activity.
